I realize this is not likely a local issue, but think you'll want to know either way. I have been unable to reach my VPS through either SSH or web services running there, if I'm coming from home. Coming from elsewhere though, no problem, but the routing appears different.

This is example hping output, which is completely consistent every time.

sudo /usr/sbin/hping3 --verbose --syn --traceroute -p 22 fractaldragon.net
[sudo] password for tim:
using eth1, addr: 192.168.34.180, MTU: 1400
HPING fractaldragon.net (eth1 207.210.96.162): S set, 40 headers + 0 data bytes
hop=1 TTL 0 during transit from ip=192.168.34.1 name=moat
hop=1 hoprtt=0.9 ms
hop=2 TTL 0 during transit from ip=205.200.28.32 name=wnpgmb01dc6.mts.net
hop=2 hoprtt=35.8 ms
hop=3 TTL 0 during transit from ip=142.161.5.1 name=wnpgmb0129w-dr05-v953.mts.net
hop=3 hoprtt=37.1 ms
hop=4 TTL 0 during transit from ip=206.223.119.61 name=equinix.xe-1-3-0.cr2.ord1.us.nlayer.net
hop=4 hoprtt=53.3 ms
hop=5 TTL 0 during transit from ip=69.22.142.46 name=xe-1-1-0.cr1.atl1.us.nlayer.net
hop=5 hoprtt=82.9 ms

This last host is reached right away, but it keeps stopping there.

I can reach my services through other sources, so it is all running, but the paths taken there are different. Any suggestions?

I have a new VPS.

During times when there is little/no traffic on my site the initial load time is about 7-10 seconds. After that, loading the site or any page on the site in the same browser or even a different browser will be 1 second or less.

I can clear my cache/close and reopen any browser and the site will continue to load quickly.

If I wait an hour (maybe less) and come back to the site it will take about 7-10 seconds to load.

It is as if the VPS is going into standby mode or the hard drive is spinning down and it has to wind back up.

Any ideas? http://giveeveryday.com

Hi dear friends

For some reason I was forced to migrate from Apache to Lighttpd

I am using movable type script?

Movable Type was a plugin called Pagination!

Pugination Plugin settings are related to the rewrite!

I searched everywhere only code I've found related to Apache!

Sample code to Apache:

Code:

RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^page=[0-9]+$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ <mt:CGIRelativeURL>plugins/Pagination/pages.cgi?blog_id=<mt:BlogID>&lastn=10&idx=<mt:IndexBasename><mt:BlogFileExtension>&path=<mt:BlogRelativeURL>$1 [L,QSA]

Are grateful to friends know that I get this code for Lighttpd to edit and put here!
